Privacy Policy

This explains what we collect when you contact us or place an order, why we hold it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. We have written it to be read rather than skipped.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

1. Who we are

MaltaAssignmentHelp.mt is an academic review service registered in Malta, with a correspondence address at Level 3, Triq San Pawl, Valletta VLT 1210. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation and Malta's Data Protection Act, we are the data controller for the information described here.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@maltaassignmenthelp.mt. Messages about data are answered by a person, not a queue.

2. What we collect

We try to collect as little as we can get away with. In practice that means four groups of information.

Information you give us directly

  • Your name, email address and contact number from the enquiry form
  • Your subject, academic level, word count and deadline
  • The message you write, including anything you choose to tell us about your circumstances
  • Files you attach โ€” briefs, drafts, marking rubrics, similarity reports, datasets or code

Information created while we work

  • Your order history, quotes issued and which reviewer handled the work
  • Correspondence between you and our team, including revision requests
  • The feedback documents we produce for you

Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data such as browser type, device type and approximate region
  • Which pages you visited and how you arrived at the site

What we deliberately do not collect

We do not ask for your student number, your university login, your national identity number or your date of birth. If you send any of these to us unprompted we will remove them from our records rather than store them.

3. How we use it

Your information is used for the work you asked for and for running the business behind it. Specifically:

  • To answer your enquiry โ€” reading your brief and preparing a quote
  • To carry out the order โ€” passing the relevant material to the reviewer assigned to your subject
  • To verify sources โ€” opening and checking the references in the work you send
  • To take payment and issue a receipt
  • To handle revisions, complaints and second reads
  • To improve the service โ€” reviewing anonymous, aggregated patterns such as average response times
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations in Malta

4. Our legal basis for holding it

Under GDPR we need a lawful reason to process your information. Ours are:

  • Performance of a contract โ€” we cannot review your draft without your draft. This covers your order details, your files and the correspondence around them.
  • Legitimate interests โ€” keeping records of enquiries, preventing misuse of the service and improving how we work. We have balanced these against your rights and limited what we keep accordingly.
  • Legal obligation โ€” retaining invoices and tax records for the period Maltese law requires.
  • Consent โ€” only for optional things such as non-essential analytics. You can withdraw it at any time without affecting your order.

5. Files you upload

Uploaded files are treated as the most sensitive thing we hold, because they usually are. They are stored on access-controlled systems and made available only to the reviewer working on your order and the standards lead who audits that work.

If your file contains information about other people โ€” clinical placement material, case notes, workplace data, interview transcripts โ€” you remain responsible for anonymising it before sending. Our nursing, law and business reviewers will flag identifiers they spot, but that check is a safety net rather than a substitute for anonymising it yourself.

You may ask us to delete a file at any point, including while an order is running, by emailing us with the order reference.

6. Payment information

We do not see or store your full card number. Payments are handled by regulated third-party payment processors, and what reaches us is limited to a transaction reference, the amount, the currency and whether it succeeded.

Your bank or card statement carries a neutral descriptor rather than anything identifying the nature of the service.

7. Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep the site working โ€” remembering that you have started an enquiry, for example. These cannot be switched off because the site would stop functioning without them.

Analytics cookies tell us which pages people read and where they leave. These run only if you accept them, and declining changes nothing about the service you receive.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run retargeting.

8. Who sees your data

Access is kept as narrow as the work allows:

  • Your assigned reviewer โ€” sees only the material needed for your order, under a signed confidentiality agreement
  • Our academic standards lead โ€” for quality audits and second reads
  • Student support โ€” for correspondence and scheduling
  • Service providers โ€” payment processors, email and hosting providers, each bound by data processing agreements
  • Authorities โ€” only where we are legally required to disclose, and only to the extent required

Nobody else. Your name is not disclosed to reviewers where the work can be handled without it, which is why our published reviews use initials only.

9. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become orders โ€” up to 6 months, then deleted
  • Order files and feedback documents โ€” 12 months after delivery, so revisions and disputes can be handled
  • Correspondence โ€” 24 months
  • Invoices and accounting records โ€” for the period required by Maltese tax law
  • Analytics data โ€” 14 months, in aggregated form

You can ask for earlier deletion at any time and we will act on it unless we are legally required to keep a record, in which case we will tell you which record and why.

10. Your rights

Under GDPR you can ask us to:

  • Access a copy of everything we hold about you
  • Correct anything inaccurate
  • Delete your data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Restrict how we use it while a query is resolved
  • Port your data to another provider in a machine-readable format
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Withdraw consent for anything you consented to

Email info@maltaassignmenthelp.mt and we will respond within 30 days, usually far sooner. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta. We would rather you came to us first, but that route is always open to you.

11. Security

We use encrypted connections across the site, access controls limiting who can open which file, and confidentiality agreements with everyone on the team. Reviewer accounts are removed the day someone stops working with us.

No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach ever affected your data we would tell you and the Maltese regulator within the timeframes GDPR requires, and we would tell you what we actually knew rather than a sanitised version.

12. International transfers

Our reviewers work across several time zones so that evening and overnight messages get answered. This means your material may be accessed from outside the European Economic Area.

Where that happens, transfers are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, and the same confidentiality obligations apply regardless of where a reviewer is sitting.

13. Age of users

Our service is intended for students aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and if we learn that we have, we delete it.

If you are under 18 and studying at a Maltese institution, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.

14. Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that affects you materially, the date at the top will change and we will email anyone with an active order. Minor wording corrections will simply appear here.

Questions, requests or complaints about anything on this page go to info@maltaassignmenthelp.mt, or by post to Level 3, Triq San Pawl, Valletta VLT 1210, Malta. Please note the address is for correspondence only and is not a walk-in office.
